Hydro-Perf on Isère in Savoy

The meeting is at our white-water base at the finish of the course. After a cup of coffee on the house to get to know each over, we retrieve the equipment. Reinforced wetsuit, neoprene jacket, gloves, boots and socks, everything is planned not to be cold! Once equipped, we get in the mini bus, direction the departure. A complete briefing allow to understand the safety instruction, the signs the guide will use at the heart of the action. Then, it's the big jump: the descent starts quietly, first stop, first surf, we take the time to have some breaks in order to understand the river and the sailing. And it goes on : waves, rolls, surfs, rolling, we get shaken right, we get shaken left, it refreshes but we don't have time to be cold ! In short, the Rapids of Aime living up to their reputation: it goes without interruption and we take it "right in the face»!!

Once this first section of rapids crossed, there is still 2 third of the course to do: hopefully, the river weaves more quietly just to recover a bit and enjoy the landscape... We let ourselves be pushed around the water until the Gorges and then, come the last rapids which offer some beautiful technical lines and nice waves to surf. And finally, we let ourselves be carried in the final stretch until the base where a good hot cup of coffee or tea awaits us after 3 hours of intense sensations.
